caPCNA KEY STAIN™

CS-Keys is currently developing an immunohistochemical stain (IHC), caPCNA Key Stain™, to be used by pathologists to examine tissue biopsies where cancer is suspected. Used as a contrast media to Hematoxyllin stain when applied to formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded tissue, caPCNA Key Stain™ colors the nucleus of cancer cells brown. Benign tissue remains the bluish hues resulting from the H&E preparation. caPCNA Key Stain™ signals the presence of cancer much like an “on/off” switch.

The caPCNA Key Stain™ may be used either manually or in an automated system. A protocol for the techniques has been developed using standard reagents along with our proprietary antibody.

BREAST CANCER
CS-Keys is developing products to aid in the detection of breast cancer at its earliest stages including conditions such as DCIS.

ESOPHAGEAL CANCER
Barrett’s esophagus may be a precursor to cancer in some patients. CS-Keys may help physicians identify the patients that are at greatest risk.
